Good News!!!

Of sorts, firstly the fuel pump has a hole in the diaphram, so Mabel is gonna need a new one, but thats fine, as there is one on ebay that her master has bid on and intends to win. Secondly, she actually turns over on the KEY!!! Yes, she has been in bits for anything up to 20 years and she is spinning over with very very little assistance! Thirdly, the haynes restoration guide turned up yesterday morning with lots of help within. The reupholstering looks relatively easy, everything else isnt hard. Having had a quick look through, Mabels master saw that the solenoid was only in need of a bit of cleaning up and was a pull solenoid that means that she spins over by pulling the knob and turning the key.
It would also seem that Mabels charms are working their magic on BM boy, he seems to have spend a fair bit of time admirring her and finding excuses to come in the unit to spend time with her.
This next week will see her new fuel pump fitted, her distributor cleaned up and possibly a new cap, paint bought for her engine bay (her master was thinking a dark red like her interior, keep the colour scheme going) and an inventory of the contents of her box.
More photos to follow.
